Context
People with psychosocial disabilities have difficulties in acquiring and developing social skills .
Usually they suffer from affective flattening indicated by unchanging and unresponsive facial/voice expressions, aprosodia and dismished communication , which difficult their social connection, and puts them in risk of social exclusion.
DUB-IN : The project
DUB-IN project has as ultimate goal fostering the social inclusion of people with psychosocial disabilities. by training their social and interpersonal skills
DUB-IN is an innovative training course based on film dubbing techniques, which will build social and interpersonal capacities of people with psychosocial disabilities by practicing on cinema scenes daily situations, but challenging for them.
DUB-IN objectives are:
– Providing trainers and practicioners working with people with psychosocial disabilities with an effective, attractive training programm based on dubbing to address their real social and communication needs.
– Providing people with psychosocial disabilities with innovative learning opportunities for improving their social skills connected with their real lives and ,thus, increasing and improving their social conections
– Increasing the pressence of diversity of voices and the visibility of people with psychosocial disabilities.
DUB-IN outcomes
- On line training service which comprises:- The Dubbing Director Curriculum: address to trainers to apply the DUB-IN training model
– The Mayor Player Programme: online tool to practice dubbing with cinematographic scenes, addressed to trainees
– The Workbook: e-book with additional learning materials and exercises for trainees. - DUB-IN app to enable trainees to practice independently dubbing and keep improving social skills to apply them in real situations.
